Can I attend a meeting without being a member first?
Yes, if you just want to come and check us out we would invite you to attend a monthly meeting. Then you can decide if you would like to become a member. You'll find the date of the next meeting on the Events page.
How do I become a member?
Fill out the membership application and pay here. You will be added you to our mailing list and you'll gain access to the members only area of our website.
How much are the annual dues?
Memberships are $20 for a single applicant or $30 for a family applicant. A family is 2 adults and their dependents in the same household.
I have a membership. Where can I find the members calendar?
You can find member's only events here. If you are not a member please go to our Events page to find public meetings.
How can I go mushroom foraging with WVMS?
Some of the most popular activities of WVMS are our mushroom foraging outings, called forays. Forays occur nearly every weekend in the spring and fall, and occasionally on weekdays. You must be a club member to participate in forays. Most forays are day-long trips to forest locations in the Cascades or the Coast Range. Club members can find details and signup for forays here. Email notifications will be sent to club members regarding our events and forays, so please add us to your contacts so you never miss an announcement! You must be a member in good standing and have completed our Foray Safety to participate.
I have a membership. How do I access the Member's Area?
If you filled out a membership application and paid your dues, you will be added to our Google Group forum automatically. This is how we communicate with our members. To access the Member's website, Click the "Members Login Here" button at the top right corner of this website. Create an account by clicking "Sign Up" on the pop up window. You will then need to be approved to access the site. Please allow 1-2 weeks for approval. To get started exploring the member's area, log in and click this link .
